Val johnson, a singer since the age of 4, and for the last 25 years a very prolific songwriter in the gospel music field,...teams with husband Gene in a unique and blessed ministry,...writing gospel music.

She hails from Sparta Tennessee, a "Wee" town that is the "Homeplace of Lester Flatt and Benny Martin in the middle of the state.

Her very first song to ever have recorded ("COMING SOON") was released by the Spencers in the USA and The Virgin Islands in 1989, and almost immediately went to #1 in both countries...Since then she has had over 125 of her songs recorded by other groups and soloists, artists such as the Inspirations (Who have recorded 8 of her songs)-The Singing Cookes-Mike Upright- Kevin Spencer- Buck Rambo-Roy Drusky (of Grand Ole Opry Fame) and others. Very recently She even had a major cut on Rhonda Vincents' "All American Bluegrass Girl" cd ("Prettiest Flower There")
